Want to know what the PTA is up to? Below is a list of things we have sponsored for both school activities, needs and group requests.

Under the organization of Mrs. Riddle and Ms. Ewing -Opera Iowa will be coming to visit Garfield. Along with sponsoring the cost of the production “Jack and the Bean Stock” we will be sponsoring spaces for some of our High School students to participate in the Master’s class Opera Iowa has to offer.
Sponsored field day for both the Elementary and Middle School to have fun filled day and celebrated the end of the school year.
We love sponsoring all of the field trips for Pre-K thru 8th grade and hearing of all the fun they had each year.
Sponsored shirts as well as City passes for upcoming History bowl trip. We enjoyed having a few of the kids come to the meeting and tell us a little about the team and how involved it is.
Recently purchased shirts for all the groups that requested some for upcoming events.
Every child receives a free book from the book fair as a gift from the PTA.
We Enjoy supporting all the different Bee clubs that travel. This year we purchased shirts for all participating students going to the Math Bee that are representing our school.
When it come to class room needs we try to support where able. Just recently we have purchased a new rug and book shelf for Mrs. Eberly’s classroom for her children to enjoy.
